Cascading concert showpiece, works either as a concert opener or (despite the title) encore work. This piece was recorded for Warner Music in 1995.

5 min 12 -- RW2

Introspective, suited to being sandwiched between faster works. Trickier than it sounds, with multiple lines to realise.

2 min 52 -- RW1

With apologies to the two masters—I saw them perform together in Sydney, and wondered...what if they were to collaborate on a piano solo...

2 min 04 -- RW4

An intermediate contest piece with bite—storms and stamps all over the piano before the jump-up-and-bow finish. Now part of the Trinity Guildhall Grade 7 Exam syllabus.

1 min 24 -- RW7

An ebullient concert opener for intermediate to advanced pianists. Shifts up a gear—or two—at the 35 second mark after a pastoral start

2 min 21 -- RW2

A song without words, but true to its name, the mood is very hard to pin down.

1 min 52 -- RW9

A much darker piece than the opening few measures suggest.

2 min 50 -- RW5

Originally conceived as the first movement of a Sonata, works much better as a standalone recital item.

5 min 07 -- RW14
